This is a picture of my youngest daughter with her daughter and my newborn grandson from my older daughter back in 2010. What a picture, amen! I don't know about you, but these are the days of miracles like we have never seen. I am looking for a miracle in my family like never before. When the Lord brought me to Florida, I had to leave my homeland and children and come to follow Jesus into a brand new life.
Maybe that all sounds easy, but it wasn't. Back then God promised to restore my children and I and that process began. Then things happened that interfered with the restoration process. We parents love our children no matter what, and when things aren't quite right in our family, we long for them to be restored and for love to flow between us.
Today, while I continue to wait on His miracle work, I want to encourage you. We are all looking for better things to happen in our lives and families, careers and outside relationships. But there is One on the throne Who is all about the miracles, every day and night. Yes, it's Jesus - Light of the world - Lamb that was slain.
I believe this is the season of the greatest miracles this world has ever seen. And that isn't just for someone else - it's for us. Look at Abraham's wife Sarah. She was nothing less than shocked when gave birth to her son Isaac at the age of 90. Look at this scripture:
And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. (Genesis 21:1-2)
How is that for a faith builder? Let's look at one that God gave to me when I came to Florida in 2007...
I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 36:11)
He brought the girls back, a more than wonderful husband, and even a puppy restored to me that is more than amazing.
Look at this...
“Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. (1 Kings 8:56)
Today, as you and I wait on the Lord for the things we have yet fully seen come to pass, let these words from God bless you and remind you that He Who promised is faithful - even if it takes longer than you think it should. God never gives up on His promises. He never gives up on us! Be encouraged with me today and in the days ahead.
He is the God of miracles! Listen to the song "We Need A Miracle"
