Not By Might

 

Not By Might! “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ” (Zech. 4:6-7) Today I want to share what the Lord laid on my heart. This verse is my life verse. When I asked the Lord what verse should be my life verse, this is the one He gave me. Why? Because I believe He wanted me to know that I know that whatever He would call me to do, I would not be able to accomplish it on my own. Oh how true it is! In my new You Tube Channel, I talked a lot about encouragement from God's Word. If I have learned anything over the past few years, I believe it is the total dependence on the Lord in everything we do. And one BIG thing is, no negative talk! No! Remember how precious you and I are to the Lord our Father God, and press forward. If you are struggling to figure something out, or just dealing with the day to day issues of your life, no matter where you are at, I pray this verse will encourage you. God gave us this good Word to let us know that when obstacles appear before us, we can kick them out of the way by remembering that whatever God has called us to do, He will give us the grace to do it. Stay positive, even when it seems nearly impossible! I once heard a sermon that really stuck with me. It is called, "Graces and Places." It reminds us that no matter where we are, if we are doing what God has called us to do, He will not fail to give us the grace and power to carry it out. We can look at dozens of examples in the Word of God and see how God graced people for the things He was calling them to do. In every situation we see on this particular topic, people were saying, "I'm going to do what???" They always felt inadequate to do what God was asking of them. But that's now how God views it. When we pray and know our calling and what He wants us to do, lets remember beloved that the Lord is with us, He is for us, and He will provide all that is needed to do what He Himself has called and equipped us to do. Remember, He doesn't call the equipped. He equips the called. We must prophesy His promise and believe Him and keep moving forward. Be sure to search my new You Tube Channel - Hanny Stearns. Study To Show Yourself Approved to God Great News! I am now doing the blogs on You Tube! Be sure to check out my Channel - Hanny Stearns. This week I am led to look at this verse.... Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) AMP What this verse is speaking to me is that we must constantly be in the Word and prayer and doing the work of the ministry. We need to avoid unnecessary distractions and stay close to Jesus. He alone is our source of strength in a world that is desperate for successful men and women of God to be able to show them the way to a loving heavenly Father. One thing we must never tell someone we are witnessing to is that once they get born again everything is going to be alright. In many cases they won't, though it will definitely get much better. We will still have trials - Jesus said so. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus and our noses in the Holy Bible, the Word of truth so we are not deceived or led astray. We have to continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, for our God is a consuming fire. All He wants is our undivided devotion. He can handle our imperfections, our mistakes and He has certainly covered our sins with His eternal life saving Blood that ever sits at the mercy seat in heaven. He is our Master, Teacher, and Best Friend, with us to train and equip us. We as children of God must keep ourselves pure, under control and filled and overflowing with Holy Spirit. We must follow His lead and depend on Him in the tough situations, not just the mountaintop moments. I have learned that the closer we want to get to Jesus, the greater the battle. Also, we may be called to great things, and that can bring on the warfare. Well, this stuff is happening all over the world every day. We just have to study, study and study some more. When we first followed Jesus, it was a time of deep healing and restoration. As we went along the calling grew more demanding and the road became much steeper. But there is One Who is faithful to be with us all the way through. We must make it our goal to please Him and be willing. He will take us from glory to glory. In the waiting, keep thanking Him and give Him all the glory. Study, trust, believe, receive and by all means, keep moving! Never stop! Remember, we all can go from being the student to the teacher, and from a disciple to being the preacher! So let's keep Studying! It will be worth it. My Healing Miracle!

 

My Healing Miracle Testimony This week had it's challenges and I have got to share what Jesus did for me! It is a faith builder for certain! I had been feeling unwell for several weeks. In May the Dr. said I had a urinary tract infection and I didn't even know it, except that I didn't feel well. I had been praying for the Lord to help me according to 2 Chronicles 20:17 and Psalm 50:15 to help in some other things. And oh my, did He ever come through! Tuesday morning I went back to the Dr. because I just felt awful and wasn't able to do much the day before. She said I had another urinary infection - again, I didn't even know it. She gave me an antibiotic injection and a prescription for more antibiotics that I don't like to take unless absolutely necessary. By the afternoon, I called the Dr. again, and she advised me to go to the Emergency Room. When we were in the waiting room, the Lord brought a song to me that said, "Jesus is My Healer." They ran several tests and took samples, etc. After another injection for nausea and pain, the Dr. finally came in and said everything looks fine - no infection! When I got up to go home, I felt just fine! No pain and I had more energy. Then a praying friend said she heard the Lord speak to her heart and said this for me, "And suddenly a touch from heaven. Jesus came and set you free!" Glory to God! I have felt so good since that happened that I certainly didn't need all those pills - Halleluiah!" The Bible tells us that when we call on the Lord in the day of trouble - that means any trouble, He is faithful to deliver us and then we will give Him all the glory! What a joy it is to get on this blog each week and share the things that God is doing in our lives and the lives of those we minister to. We are praying for many people, but we always have time to pray for you. It is so vitally important to share our healing testimonies with others to help build their faith. It can't be denied when we have witnessed it. God is so good! Jesus is still responding to our cries for help and healing. He will never leave us or forsake us. In Everything Give God Thanks

 

In Everything Give God Thanks Today is not unlike any other day of the year. We are living lives that are busy and full. For even that, we can thank the Lord our God. It isn't just for a special season of the year, and it is not reserved for only those extra special occasions. Giving God thanks should be the habit of every born again Christ follower. Here's the verse... In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) As we can see, the giving of thanks is necessary IN all situations we face. Now you and I may not be very thankful for a particular situation we may be experiencing, however, we can still thank God because He is still doing something good for us in the midst of it. I recently heard a message that the minute we wake up and before we do anything, we should be thanking the Lord for this day that He has made. We should rejoice and be glad in it. This may seem like a simple message, but it is no less important than any verse in the Word of God. He has given us everything we need in His Word for life and godliness, and He has positioned us as teachers and ministers to bring the teachings we are getting to those who need it. Today, my friend, I want to encourage you to look up and thank the Lord, even many times in a day. After all He went to the trouble to create us, and give us so much good. The least we can do is remember how good He is and all He has done for us, both past and present, and even into the future. Our God is a good God. He will never leave us or forsake us, and He is with us in every victory as well as every trial. Jesus told us He will be with us always. So today, and everyday, lets look up and say a passionate, "Thank You Heavenly Father, thank You Jesus, and thank You Holy Spirit for all You are and all You do. What an awesome God You are! This week, if you need prayer, we are always available. We have an ongoing and endless list of people we are praying for, and are always grateful for your prayers too. Be encouraged dear sister and brother. Whatever you need Him to do, stand upon His Word, and trust in His purposes and plans for you, and know that no matter how it may look, He will be right by your side. This is our faithful God.
