Study To Show Yourself Approved to God Great News! I am now doing the blogs on You Tube! Be sure to check out my Channel - Hanny Stearns. This week I am led to look at this verse.... Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) AMP What this verse is speaking to me is that we must constantly be in the Word and prayer and doing the work of the ministry. We need to avoid unnecessary distractions and stay close to Jesus. He alone is our source of strength in a world that is desperate for successful men and women of God to be able to show them the way to a loving heavenly Father. One thing we must never tell someone we are witnessing to is that once they get born again everything is going to be alright. In many cases they won't, though it will definitely get much better. We will still have trials - Jesus said so. We need to keep our eyes on Jesus and our noses in the Holy Bible, the Word of truth so we are not deceived or led astray. We have to continue to work out our salvation with fear and trembling, for our God is a consuming fire. All He wants is our undivided devotion. He can handle our imperfections, our mistakes and He has certainly covered our sins with His eternal life saving Blood that ever sits at the mercy seat in heaven. He is our Master, Teacher, and Best Friend, with us to train and equip us. We as children of God must keep ourselves pure, under control and filled and overflowing with Holy Spirit. We must follow His lead and depend on Him in the tough situations, not just the mountaintop moments. I have learned that the closer we want to get to Jesus, the greater the battle. Also, we may be called to great things, and that can bring on the warfare. Well, this stuff is happening all over the world every day. We just have to study, study and study some more. When we first followed Jesus, it was a time of deep healing and restoration. As we went along the calling grew more demanding and the road became much steeper. But there is One Who is faithful to be with us all the way through. We must make it our goal to please Him and be willing. He will take us from glory to glory. In the waiting, keep thanking Him and give Him all the glory. Study, trust, believe, receive and by all means, keep moving! Never stop! Remember, we all can go from being the student to the teacher, and from a disciple to being the preacher! So let's keep Studying! It will be worth it.
