What Can You Work On To Keep Moving Forward?

Making Progress     Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)  This is an important and wonderful encouragement to stop and look at what you are doing with your life? Are you pursuing the Lord everyday? Are you asking, seeking and knocking? Do you feel like you are making progress, or just wasting time?  In this season of my life, I recognize that changes in age, and commitments can cause a bit of an upheaval in what we were once accustomed to doing. But it doesn't change the fact that the Lord wants us to keep making progress in our lives' calling that He placed on us before we were even born.  If you look and discover that there may be a thing or two that you know needs improvement, there is no time like now to stop and ask Father God to help to get you moving up higher in your love walk with Him. After all, the first and best place to be is in the presence of the Lord.  We want to live a life that is passionate for Jesus, our Bridegroom, and to not be willing to settle for less. He is looking for people who are willing vessels. All we need to do is to stay humble and keep depending on Him to help us reach the mark and the high calling He has placed on our lives for His glory and the benefit of a lot of people.  The great thing about making progress is that once we achieve one goal, we now have room to reach higher. Like Peter who answered the call to walk on the water, we can look unto Jesus Who reaches out His hand to us and asks us to "Come." And if we miss it, we can call on Him and He will lovingly extend His powerful hand to help.  So today, may I just encourage you and me and all who will listen to keep reaching up and keep trying. Don't ever give up, because Jesus will never give up on us! I preach what I am learning. I certainly do not try to maker anyone think I have it all together, because as are you, so am I a work in progress. The keep words here are "WORK IN PROGRESS."  Are you making progress? Gratitude - He Has Given Us Everything

 

Gratitude He Has Given Us Everything Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thes. 5:16-18) Let's quickly look at this verse in the Passion Translation... Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God's perfect will for you in Christ Jesus. What would your life look like if you took authority over every area of it? What would it be like if you were really rejoicing in God every moment of your days, always praying and constantly thanking Him for all He has done for you? After all... He has given us everything we need for life and godliness! He has saved us, healed us, delivered us from every evil and blessed us with every spiritual blessing, seated us (place of authority) with Him in heavenly places, promised to be with us, and to never leave or forsake us. He said we can call on Him for wisdom in trouble, and that we can trust Him and follow Him through each day as He gently leads us and guides us in the purpose for which He created us, promising to comfort us and bring restoration in our lives! He has done it all, and invites us to simply follow Him each day, putting these basic principles into practice. He even shows us how to pray, how to treat others, and shows us a love that is unfailing so we can model that for others and invite them to join the family. Yes, and He said He would supply every need we have. What more could we ask for? And God of your creation just loves to spend time with us - just to be together! How awesome is our God!!! Oh thanks be to God for this indescribable gift! What manner of love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called the sons of God. What love that our holy God would make us His bride and call us His beloved! What a beautiful continual joyous feast is set before us as we anticipate the inexpressible joy of the wedding feast with Jesus our Bridegroom; to know that we will live with Him in everlasting joy in His presence forever! It makes this training ground here on earth worth the journey as we walk in passionate love with our God and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ - our Master, Healer and Helper. What joy to tell others about all of this! Oh, give Him thanks! All the honor, glory and praise belong to Him forever and ever. What an indescribable gift indeed! Getting Set Free Brings Physical Healing

 

Getting Set Free Brings Physical Healing Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. (John 8:36) Recently I went to the hospital emergency room and the Lord not only healed my body, but He went deeper with His mighty power and set me free! I received a mighty touch from heaven that day. The Holy Spirit came over me, and I broke out in tears. I could feel something happening, though I didn't know what it was until later that day. I had not been feeling well in my body, but when I was touched by Jesus, I felt good inside and out. Since that day, I have had a few more rounds with that just not feeling well. I have had to stay in faith, and today, this is what the Lord reminded me... He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. (Isaiah 40:29) Today, I am reminded and was led to share with you that inner pain can cause physical illness. It can be stress, or a barrage of other things in one's life that is allowing sickness to manifest in our bodies. There is healing ministry available for those who are dealing with stressors in their lives and who may need inner healing. Many people do not even know how much they need inner healing. It can be a thing folks deal with for years without really understanding what's bothering them. We happen to attend a church that offers such counseling, both in person and to people all over the globe through online Zoom meetings. Just today, I received a new prayer that helped me to get free of something that has needed to be prayed for years ago. Now I continue to walk in the knowledge that Jesus has set me free. Denny and I are led to evangelize and bring the healing words of Jesus Christ to the nations through His holy Word - the Bible. When folks are hurting and broken, and need some deeper inner healing and help, we refer them to the Breaking Free ministry at our church here in Ft. Myers, Florida. I would say it is one of the best in the country, if not the best for helping people get set free from a lot of junk they have been dealing with. Our Pastor started this type of help over 41 years ago, and is no beginner at this stuff. If you know anyone who needs this type of help, please reach out to us and we are happy to get you connected. In the meantime, remember, that what's bugging you on the inside can be dramatically affecting you on the outside. Please, for your future and your calling in following Jesus, reach out and get help. You will be so glad you did. Then you can experience the joy of letting your pain break someone else's pain. Praise Jesus for sending us Holy Spirit to give us His power to heal and set people free. This Side of Heaven

 

This Side of Heaven And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. ere shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. (Rev. 22:1-6) With all the things that we face in this life, does not this section of scripture bring you great hope and joy? Let's look further at what the Revelation tells us... Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. (Rev.21:1-7) Now that we have looked at our experiences to come, imagine it! No more tears or sorrow or pain! How awesome is our God! Read on your own as often as you like to see that the best is yet to come! Hold on saints! This pain and bad stuff isn't gonna last forever! No! God's got this! God's got us in the palm of His hand. His ways are unsearchable and who can know the depth of His love for us! This week I encourage you as I looked at this today and was so encouraged, look up, not down. Place on your face and in your heart a smile - not a frown. Jesus didn't have it easy! Paul didn't have it easy! Peter didn't have it easy! King David didn't have it easy! No one including our Lord and Master had it easy. But He gave us the words of eternal life and health in His Word. For now, lay hold by faith in the One Who is Faithful & True. Be joy filled, not blue! Jesus is coming back for us His bride. When we see Him take us into heaven, all this temporary stuff will be gone, done and over with forever! Hallelujah! Hang on, keep on, and overcome! You and I are victorious in Christ.
