“Multiplying God’s Word Around the Globe”

Chapter Reading for Today: Please read in your Bible before proceeding. Note that most translations are considered paraphrases. The Young’s Literal Translation provides a more accurate translation since he is the one who authored a concordance. Others are helpful for seeing a different perspective, but we cannot always depend on their wording. I trust this is helpful to you. If you are studying in another version, that is fine. I am studying from the KJV.

***Please note a change! We will look at everything for our basic study from the King James Version going forward. It is helpful to stay with one solid version as we study so as not to cause confusion. I may add other translations for specific scriptures as the Lord directs.

One final note: I will put the scripture in italics to differentiate from my own writing. I am adding red to the letters when it is Jesus talking – just like the Bible. Thank you.

Bible Gateway Verse of the Day

Hebrews 1:1-2
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Psalm 113
Raised Up To Go Before Kings
This Psalm certainly begins by putting first things first – the praise, honor and glory of God! He is worthy – amen. In this fascinating small little chapter, there is a well of deep water that leaves the human mind in complete awe of our great God and King! Who is like Him in all of heaven and earth? The answer is obvious – none! And who is willing to pay attention to the things in the heavens and the earth? Today we explore the life of a child who heard his call from God at an early age to go before the kings of God’s people Israel. It is a true story of a man who was drug through the dung and mire to deliver a very important message to the kings and the people about all that God wanted for them, and what would happen if they did not obey His commands. Let’s pray…
Heavenly Father:
Who is like You Lord in all the earth - matchless King of endless worth? We praise Your name as Your glory is exalted high above the heavens and the earth. Father, I ask You for the anointing and the utterance to speak boldly to Your children in this lesson. Give me clarity, insight, and wisdom from Holy Spirit to draw out exactly what You want us to hear. Give us the spiritual eyes to see and ears to hear. Prepare the ground of our hearts to receive the seed of Your word. Water it with Holy Spirit and cause it to bring forth a mighty harvest of fruitfulness and righteousness in every one of us who ever reads it. Father, cause this message to go out across the globe unhindered and unchecked by any outside force or my flesh. Father, we are so grateful that You indeed always watch over Your word to perform it. The way You arrange things and cause things to happen without ever forcing a man to ever do anything is far beyond our human understanding. We commit this study to You and are purposed in our hearts to be doers of Your word and not forgetful hearers. Use this to transform and renew our minds and make lasting changes in all our lives as we place our full trust in You. Thank You in advance for the answers to this prayer. We believe we receive them and thank You for it in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen.
When I began to prepare for this lesson, I opened my Bibles and pulled out my scripture card and flipped open my little scripture book as I am in the habit of doing while getting ready to hear and receive the word for the day’s lesson. I bring up the internet so I have Bible Gateway ready to help me copy the necessary scriptures into the lesson. As I sat down to study, it was late last night. In ministry, we have a lot of other things we have to attend to and I was led by the Lord to take care of some of those matters before I began this lesson.
When I sat down and saw that the internet was down, I bound the enemy if he were indeed involved, not knowing for sure if it was him. Then I began to read the chapter. I was led to go back to the beginning of the book of Jeremiah. The Lord was taking in me in a direction I certainly had not expected. This is normal. The supernatural is anything but “the norm.” Then it was no surprise that I was not able to access the internet. The Lord was redirecting my steps. Praise His name forever.
I started reading in Jeremiah 1 and by the time I got to the end of the book of Jeremiah, chapter 52, it was almost 2:00AM. I was led to stop and pick it up today. So here we are. I took pages of notes. The Lord was showing me the life of this precious prophet. He had called him before he was born and ordained him as a prophet to the nations – His people. Jeremiah was set apart to do a very special and highly important work for the Lord. In that calling he would endure great suffering and challenges. He would be led day by day until he finally ended up standing before the kings of the land. He would deliver the messages from God as he heard them. He would warn the people to stop the idolatry and turn again to the Lord their Maker.
Here are some of the notes I took as I read. I am believing that you will take the time to consider these things along with me. May you not grow weary while drenching your mind in God’s word. May you patiently wait on Him and consider it seriously so that your heart is wide open for Him to speak to you. This may be long – I do not know. Like you, I have yet to discover how this will turn out or what the Lord will reveal as we go, so let’s dive in. Please note that if you would set aside a little time to read the entire book of Jeremiah, it would be time well spent. You will be amazed at how well this ties to the little chapter we are reading today in Psalm 113.
Jeremiah was the son of a priest – Hilkiah of Anatoth in the land of Benjamin. Then God spoke to Jeremiah to tell him about his calling…
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
He was called to go before the princes and kings of the land; a tall order indeed. It sounds a lot like Moses and Joseph, among others.
Jeremiah 1:18
For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
Look at verses 7 & 8 in our Psalm today as you consider this. Then look at what the Lord said to him next…
Jeremiah 1:19
And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.
He said the very same thing to Joshua before he went into the Promised Land…
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Are you getting encouraged from this already? That is God’s desire – to encourage you. He wants to spur you on. He knows what challenges you will face when you go into to take your Promised Land, so He tells us ahead of time that He will be with us. That should cause our hearts and minds to rest in faith and know that He will make our way prosperous because He is with us. If God be for us, who can be against us…
Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Let’s move on. See Jeremiah chapter 6…
Jeremiah 6:2
I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.
God has likened (compared) the Daughter of Zion (His people) to a comely (beautiful) and delicate (fragile) woman. Now consider verse 9 in the Psalm today as we proceed through this study. Do not think of a woman who could not have kids in the natural sense. This goes far beyond that.
The people who were called by His name served other “gods”, aka, idols. Now look at Matthew 7…
Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
This is a dreadful thought – but it is true. Even people who go out and perform so called signs and wonderful works were doing it with a wrong heart and did not really know the Lord. There are many who fall into this category even today; perhaps now more than ever as Matthew 24 has predicted in the last days. Jeremiah had his work cut out for him. It was not going to be easy to deal with the stubborn people of his day. Is it any different now friend?
Look at this…
Jeremiah 7:16
Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.
It is sad beyond description when a person gets beyond the point where they can be prayed for. We have talked about this in a previous study. Once a person has tasted the goodness of the Lord and experienced His Holy Spirit and then turned away – it is the unpardonable sin. They cannot be prayed for. These are not my words. Study your Bible. Don’t ever take my word for anything. Look it up. Find out everything that you believe in the word of God. If you can’t find it in the word, then we have to ask ourselves why we believe as we do. Let God be true and every man a liar. Let’s go on…
Jeremiah 8:1-2
At that time, saith the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves:
And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
Look at our chapter today again and consider the wording there and compare it to what we read in this chapter and book. Also, look at this…
Jeremiah 8:13
I will surely consume them, saith the Lord: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.
Now look at Psalm 113 and consider the wording in the last verse about the barren woman. That barren woman was Israel. She was barren because she was obstinate and disobedient. She bore no fruit from her womb – her inner parts, aka her heart. This woman represents God’s chosen bride. She played the role of a harlot. There was no good fruit coming from her.
Now look at this as we consider verse 5 in our chapter. Remember in the word that it will be established by the word of two or three witnesses. How the Lord has tied it all together is indeed a sign and a wonder…
Jeremiah 10:7
Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
And look at this…
Jeremiah 10:10-13
10 But the Lord is the true God, he is the living God, and an everlasting king: at his wrath the earth shall tremble, and the nations shall not be able to abide his indignation.
11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
Jeremiah 11:1-6
11 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying,
Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
And say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,
Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:
That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O Lord.
Then the Lord said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.
Look at what the Lord was calling Jeremiah to say to the people. How would you respond if God asked you to do the same? Next, we can see something very important in this chapter about our prayers that we should mention as we go…
Jeremiah 11:14
Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.
It is critical to remember that sin blocks our prayers from yielding any results. Moving on…
Jeremiah 12:2-3
Thou hast planted them, yea, they have taken root: they grow, yea, they bring forth fruit: thou art near in their mouth, and far from their reins.
But thou, O Lord, knowest me: thou hast seen me, and tried mine heart toward thee: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter.
We can see Romans 8 here. Look at this…
Romans 8:36
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
We certainly can see that Paul could relate well to the trials that Jeremiah had encountered. What about us? Are we willing to lay down our lives for our brethren to answer the call that God has for us regardless of the price we have to pay?
And look at this…
Jeremiah 12:5
If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?
Here we can see the Lord asking us an all-important question. He says in essence, “If you thought things were hard when your challenges were small, then how can you possibly be used to do the bigger, more challenging things for the kingdom?” The Lord used to show me this verse over and over again when I was still fighting an invisible battle with food and sugar. What He was limiting me to back then does not compare to the things He has limited me to now. And I certainly do not know what else is coming. I have to trust Him – amen.
Look at this…
Jeremiah 15:15
O Lord, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke.
Jeremiah suffered greatly with the people for the sake of the Lord. Like Paul and many others, times got very challenging. It would be easy for the flesh to give up – if it had not been for the Lord. Glory to God.
Last night as I was reading all of this, I was amazed when I came to the very next verse. Why? Because yesterday morning as I sat for a moment pondering the word of God, I spoke something very similar to this out of my mouth, having no clue about what I would be studying last evening…
Jeremiah 15:16
Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.
Glory to God! We cannot know how He does what He does, but we can stand in a complete state of awe of Him at all times as His praise is continually in our mouths!
Jeremiah 15:17
I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation.
Now consider this which takes us right back to what the Lord was saying to Jeremiah in the first chapter…
Jeremiah 15:20-21
And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord. And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
That’s a faith builder friends. One word from God should be enough to give us all the blessed assurance we need to do what He is calling us to do – amen. Now we see that because of the call on his life and the kind of people he dwelt amongst, the Lord was not going to have Jeremiah get married or have children…
Jeremiah 16:2
Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.
Look at the following as we consider Matthew 7 again regarding the bearing of fruit…
Jeremiah 17:7-10
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Now let’s look at some of Jeremiah’s sufferings…
Jeremiah 20:2, 7-8, 11-18
Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by the house of the Lord.
Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.
For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the Lord was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.
But the Lord is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.
But, O Lord of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause.
Sing unto the Lord, praise ye the Lord: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers.
Cursed be the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed.
Cursed be the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad.
And let that man be as the cities which the Lord overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide;
Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb to be always great with me.
Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame?
As you look at these verses, consider the Psalm today. Also, consider the following passages…
Romans 8:31
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Job 10:18-19
Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!
I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.
Here was another man of God who went through the trial of affliction to the point where he even despised the day he came forth from his mother’s womb, just like Jeremiah. Suffering for the Lord can be quite intense at times. This was never promised to us to be a “cake walk.” Jesus knew what “hard” meant and He endured it like a good soldier and an example to us all.
Next, we see the Lord’s further charge to Jeremiah about his work…
Jeremiah 26:2
Thus saith the Lord; Stand in the court of the Lord's house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord's house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
Here is an important point I saw as I studied about praying for others; something we should always be doing…
Jeremiah 29:7
And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
Everything we give away comes back to us. We do not do what we do to “get something”, but in the kingdom way of doing business, that is how the system works. Here the people were told to pray for their captors. In praying for them, they would be set free from bondage themselves – glory to God. Let’s not forget a major role and maybe the most important of all as Christians is to be people of prayer. A strong relationship with the Lord can bring forth mighty things for the glory of God and the blessing of His people. Remember, He said we have to ask. And that is only one little yet all too important component of the Christian prayer and what it entails.
Look at this as we consider verse 9 of our Psalm today…
Jeremiah 30:18-20
Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwelling places; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof.
19 And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
20 Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them.
Look at more of what Jeremiah endured…
Jeremiah 32:2
For then the king of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the king of Judah's house.
Also, consider this…
Jeremiah 32:27
Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
In reading the verses prior to this, we see Jeremiah’s prayer. Now we see God’s response. Isn’t this a marvelous thing for us all to remember? There is nothing too big or too hard for God – nothing! When the bank account is empty and the kids are hungry and the husband is cranky, the laundry is piling up and the “to do” list is longer than the hours in a day - nothing is too big for God to help.
Look at this…
Jeremiah 33:1
Moreover the word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the court of the prison, saying,
There’s Jeremiah in prison again! He was suffering for Christ. Look at what Paul said…
Acts 21:13
Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
Friend, when we get rid of all fear of death – and we should, then we are truly ready to live for Jesus. Is that the cry of your heart in these days?
Jeremiah 37:14-16
14 Then said Jeremiah, It is false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.
15 Wherefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.
16 When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon, and into the cabins, and Jeremiah had remained there many days;
Jeremiah 38:6
Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that was in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon there was no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
Keep our Psalm in mind, considering closely verses 7 & 8. Next, he went from the pit to the prison…
Jeremiah 38:10-13
10 Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die.
11 So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took thence old cast clouts and old rotten rags, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.
12 And Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said unto Jeremiah, Put now these old cast clouts and rotten rags under thine armholes under the cords. And Jeremiah did so.
13 So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
Now let’s turn our attention to some very encouraging verses and finish with comfort and victory in our hearts knowing that God always wants to raise us up from any pit we are in – especially when we are there because we are serving Him…
Jeremiah 39:11-14
11 Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying,
12 Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee.
13 So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rabsaris, and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of Babylon's princes;
14 Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people.
Finally, we see some relief – hallelujah! It has been a long difficult journey, hasn’t it friend? That is how we can view our lives sometimes, isn’t it? But if we stay with it and do not give up, God can and wants to bring us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. In the verses above, we see how the Lord showed Jeremiah favor. He raised him up out of the pit, the prison and the hand of the enemy and gave him a place and a people to dwell with. Glory to God! Now look at this…
Jeremiah 40:1-6
40 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.
And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The Lord thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.
Now the Lord hath brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.
And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, forbear: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go.
Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go.
Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.
Friend, this is a symbol of God’s reward and provision. Victuals means “provisions.” Do not think for a moment that the suffering we do for the sake of Jesus will not bring great reward. And our Father in heaven delights to give us rewards. It makes Him very happy indeed! Here we can see Jeremiah was not only released, but he was sent away with provisions. Our God will supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! (See Phil. 4:19)
Finally, consider this too…
Jeremiah 40:12
Even all the Jews returned out of all places whither they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much.
Can you see how the Lord caused His people to “gather much fruit?” Yes friend, it is God’s desire that we have much so we can be prepared to give much. Think not for one moment that the Lord will not provide everything we need to do everything we need to do for His kingdom work. He knows it takes resources, equipment and relationships with key people like Jeremiah had with Baruch – the scribe. We need helpers to do the work. It is all about team work and collaboration to get the job done. And when we do, there will be great reward…
Matthew 5:10-12
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Now that is the kind of reward I am looking for friend. How about you?

There are three main points to consider from today’s study…

Everyone has a calling to do kingdom work
When we are at our lowest point in our assigned duties, the Lord is always with us
The Lord wants to reward His people richly for the sacrifices they make on His behalf

Questions:

What meant the most to you as you studied this lesson and why?

What has God called you to do for His kingdom work?

Have you responded to that call regardless of the price you would have to pay?

What will you do differently after studying this lesson?

Who can you share this study with?

What has God raised you up from?

Let’s pray…

Heavenly Father:

Thank You for the many promises that while we live and experience the trials of this life as we serve You by serving others, You will always be with us. Help me to remember that You are God and nothing is too big for You when I place my full trust in You to lead me and guide me in the way I should go. Father, I ask You to help me really see what You want me to get from this lesson. Don’t let it get by me. I purpose to listen and hear what You are saying to me now in this and I thank You for it in Jesus name. Amen.

And God Said… You fill in the blanks.

2 Corinthians 4:7-10

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
