The Bumble Bee

 

 

Have you considered the wonder of the life of a bumble bee? They were hand made by our God to feed on these beautiful flowers to get their much needed nourishment. And so it is with the life of a born again child of God. We were created to have fellowship with God and press deep into His presence on a daily basis to get our nourishment from Him. Here's some verses to consider:  But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4)  For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness. (Psalm 107:9)  As one whom his mother comforts, So I will comfort you; And you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 66:13)  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. (Matthew 5:6)  As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. (Psalm 42:1)  In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul. (Psalm 94:19)  As I spent time with Jesus this morning, I was reminded that taking extra time to just sit with Him, not only in our usual morning prayer times, but at other times also. When we do, we always come away from that experience feeling better than we did when we went in. At least, that's the plan. We can be doing a lot of things for the Lord, and if we are actually doing what He has called us to do, great. But first we must be careful to be a "Bee" first, before being a doer.  This week, I want to learn more about how to just be with Him and enjoy His presence. Give Thanks!

Happy Thanksgiving     Happy Thanksgiving! It is yet another day to thank God for all He has done for us.  Every day, every breath, every sunrise, every flower and beautiful tree, a butterfly or a smile, a song in our heart or a person who shows some love to us. In all these things, God is here, showering us with His love. Let's look at how we can thank Him through His Word....  ...in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thess. 5:18)  Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples! ( 1 Chronicles 16:8)  Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (1Chronicles 16:34)  So we, Your people and sheep of Your pasture, Will give You thanks forever; We will show forth Your praise to all generations. (Psalm 79:13)  Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. (Psalm 95:2)  Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. (Psalm 97:2)  Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. (Psalm 100:4)  Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (psalm 106:47)  Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! (Psalm 107:8)  Whether you have just come through a wonderful season or a difficult one, what can you look up to God and give Him thanks for right now? What do you see all around you that reflects His quiet but faithful goodness at work in your life?  Today is a good reminder that there is nothing that our God can't do. He never slumbers nor sleeps and He is zealous for the praise of His people!  Today, as we go about this day, let our hearts take comfort in knowing that our God is with us, He is for us, He will never leave us or forsake us, and His goodness endures forever! His love never fails. His mercies are new every morning! His faithfulness shines through every season. He will never let us down. In all these things, let our hearts truly give Him thanks, for He is good, the Father of lights Who gives us every good and perfect gift coming down from heaven! Oh taste and see that the Lord is good!  Thanksgiving Day 2024  It’s Thanksgiving Day of 2024, the blessings are greater than any ever before!  We’re more grateful than ever for all that God’s done through the death and the life of His precious Son!  This year we have walked in the strength of His grace, so grateful to be in this wonderful place.  Truly this is a special day like no other, when we gather together with sister and brother.  The family of God comes together to say, thank You Jesus for giving us life this day!  The Father gave us everything we need or desire, when we sought His face and only Him did admire.  The journey this year is one better than ever, we’re getting stronger in Him and surely more clever!  From strength to strength, from glory to glory, that’s where our Lord takes us in each life story.  There’s been abundance and blessings, the provisions so great that we take time right now to dance and celebrate!  Thank You Father, thank You Jesus, and You too Holy Spirit, Your presence is awesome every time we come near it!  So today as we gather to give thanks for Your love, may Your peace be upon us like the peace of a dove.  As we dine and fellowship and think about You, may Your presence be honored in all that we do!    If you want to partner with our ministry, you may go to our website and click on the "donate" button. Give Thanks!

Thanksgiving Day Poem     This week is a day that the nation sets aside to give thanks for all that God has provided over this past year. As Christians, we thank God every single day. Still, this is a special time to set aside to celebrate, like the feasts from the Old Testament. We certainly have much to thank Him for. The Bible tells us that thru the good and even in the not so good things we may have experienced, we must always give God thanks. Look at this...  ...in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thess. 5:18)  So here I am including the poem God gave me a long time ago. I just updated it for this year. Do You Need Spiritual & Physical Rest?     This week I want to share with you what the Lord is putting on my heart this very day. We are in an especially busy season with our Health Insurance business right now. We are seeing many people, lots of phone calls, and studying and preparation. We are praying for and with people, and frankly, I'm feeling a bit over tired. When we are doing what the Lord has called us to do, we will get tired at times. We may begin to feel anxious inside, and just drained of energy. Let's look at what He says about it.  It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep. Psalm 127:2  For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not, Isaiah 30:15  Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [a]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30  Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught. And He said to them, “Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. So they departed to a deserted place in the boat by themselves. Mark 6:30-32  We can see that trusting in God and sometimes just slowing the pace down to rest our spirit, soul and body will be a refreshment to us, in the Lord. He never wants us over stressed and over tired. When we seek Him first and rest in who we are in Him and knowing that everything that really needs to get done will get done, we can alleviate a lot of unrest in our lives.
