Jesus The Revivalist - He's on the Move My friend, this week, I got a song that spurred a teaching that I know will bless you. The song you may have heard by Lindy Cofer & Circuit Rider Music is titled "Jesus the Revivalist." And He is on the move. This is the time of awakening. I am taking the verses and showing Bible verses that coincide... Holiness - above all others. ...but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct... (1 Peter 1:15) Mercy - Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lam. 3:22-23) Faithful & True Witness - ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, (Rev. 3:14) Jesus is bringing His kingdom to earth in these days such as we have never seen - Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10) Moving through the nations - Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” (Isaiah 2:3) His arms are open wide toward the people, going after prodigals - “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. (Luke 15:20) He is breaking strongholds and delivering captives - ...how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. (Acts 10:38) A Father to the fatherless - A Father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. (Psalm 68:5) Revival of what was dead back to life - Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth. (Psalm 119:88) Restoring Families - I will multiply upon you man and beast, and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. (Ezekiel 36:11) Healing the broken hearted - The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart... (Psalm 34:18) Creating Unity - endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace... (Eph. 4:3) Calling God's People to Repentance -  if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chron. 7:14) Turning Hearts to God - And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord. (Acts 11:21) Cities and Nations Seeing God's Light - The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.” (Matthew 4:16) Telling People of Jesus' soon return for His bride - And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. (Rev. 22:17) The Wise Virgins are Storing Up their Oil - “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the Bridegroom.(Matthew 25:1) The songs coming out are all about getting ready cause Jesus is coming soon. We, the Church of Jesus Christ want to be ready. We want our families ready, our friends and neighbors, our cities and our nations. People of God get ready, Jesus our Bridegroom is coming soon. Go tell whoever the Lord gives you to tell. Be blessed as you stay close to the One true God Who alone is able to keep us. Whatever You Do, Do All for The Glory of God!

 

Whatever You Do, Do It All for the Glory of God Today's message is about glorifying God in all we do. That would be in our relationships, our work, ministry, in all that we do throughout any given day. This picture was Denny & Me doing a seminar for our health insurance company. We were about to talk to 30 people to help them with their Medicare health plans. We love to add relationships to our group so we have people to help, not only with the natural needs like health insurance, but to tell them about the love of God through Jesus. Look at this text.... Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31) And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17) Today, as I read this, I just saw a reminder that we need to pay attention to the details of our everyday life. Even what we eat and drink. We just need to remember that we want to honor the Lord in all aspects of life. The great news is that He loves to be honored, because He should. He deserves it, for all He has done for us. So as we look at our lives, let's ask God to show us how we can honor Him more. What a wonderful Father in heaven we have, and His love for us propels us to do ALL things to show His glory in our lives. Look at this verse which makes it all possible... ...for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.(Philippians 2:13) Knowing His goodness and faithfulness, may your week be so blessed in Jesus' Name! He Saved My Life 4 Times!

 

He Saved My Life 4 Times! Today I am led to share with you my testimony. There are a lot of details I don't need to share, but my desire, and most importantly the Lord's desire is that it blesses and encourages you. When I was 20 years old and had no idea what I would do with my life, I was in a very bad situation. Little did I know at the time that the Lord stepped in and directed me to work for a well known health insurance company. That was in Kansas. I applied for a job I never thought I was qualified for. To my surprise I was hired! From that time on I knew I was called to do health insurance for a career. That was a life saver to say the least! The 2nd time was when my daughters were young, and things were not good in my marriage situation. I was pretty desperate and cried out to the Lord. He heard my prayer and provided an amazing way around what was happening that really turned out so well for all of us. The 3rd time was when I was 47 years old, and something I did happened so unexpectedly that my life was turned upside down. After a time of deep distress, I called on the Lord, and He reached down from heaven in HIs loving mercy and brought me all the way to Florida, and began to rebuild my life. What love the Father has had on me to call me out of darkness into His wonderful light! The 4th time, I was working along in the kingdom of God, and was challenged, as we can all expect when we are out there witnessing for the Lord. It was a time of difficulty, and I cried out to the Lord for help, and again He came to my rescue. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses. (Psalm 107:6) The Psalm that describes my life from Psalm 40:1-3 is this... I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord. Denny, my wonderful husband and I are enjoying a life committed to Jesus to lead many people to the Lord, and much of that comes from our marketplace ministry which is health insurance. Who knew? God is so faithful. Today, I pray that you would maybe take a look back over your life and remember the many things you can see that God did for you to save you and rescue you from trouble. The best is yet to come. So don't give up and don't give in. He is with us and for us, and He is able to make all grace abound toward us for every good work!! It's all about co-laboring with Jesus to see many saved, healed and delivered. Just this week we brought a very broken and hurting lady to Jesus! Halleluiah! It's all worth it! ENCOURAGE YOURSELF IN THE LORD

 

Encourage Yourself in The Lord I don't know what you may be dealing with today. Maybe you have family concerns, health issues or financial problems that never seem to go away. Perhaps the enemy has been bothering you and bringing discouragement. Whatever the case may be, we are called to draw near to God. He alone is our strength in troubling times. If you are struggling with things that have been a problem for you to overcome personally, hold on, because in Christ, help is on the way. Here are two examples in the Bible that will surely encourage you. Read the story in 1 Samuel 30, and you will see David deeply distressed because the Amalekites had taken his wives captive. With all the grieving and crying going on, David encouraged himself in the Lord. When he inquired on how to handle the situation, the Lord encouraged him by telling him how to handle it, and promised him that he would recover all. How great is our God! The second person who was encouraged was Paul. In the beginning of his ministry, the Lord showed him how many things he would suffer because of Jesus Name and call on his life. But as he went along preaching the gospel and planting churches, he encountered non stop trouble. What could have happened to keep him going? In every trying and even desperate situation, the Lord delivered Paul and kept him going. In this life, Paul could always remember that where Jesus was leading him, He would also make a way. He could simply reflect on all God had done for him previously. This would assure him as he kept going. Today we know we serve a faithful, loving, merciful and gracious heavenly Father. So whatever the struggle, the issues and battles, remember with me today that our God is so faithful to keep us from falling. Look at this.... Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to resent you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. BE STEADFAST

 

Be Steadfast Today is about staying with it - no matter what. In other words, BE STEADFAST! We want to stay rooted and grounded in the love of God that is in Christ Jesus. We need Him every day. We must abide in (be completely confident of His love and complete care for us) and keep on keeping on. What's wonderful is that Father God has promised to do all the "heavy lifting" for us. We need only stick with it. That may be very tough at times, but He has promised in His Word that He will never leave or forsake us, that He will perfect that which concerns us, and He will keep us from falling in the tough times. Staying focused, loving Jesus our Lord and abiding in His love is THE thing, and we are all on a journey; a work in progress. But the great news is that He really is helping us and ordering our steps, always looking out for our best. He knows the end from the beginning, and He can and will lead us to triumph in every situation. For me, when I just say, I can't do this, but You can, then I know He can lead me to victory and help me to stay steadfast in what He has called me to do. Maybe this is a season of change for you, or a time to just rest and wait. He is always working, no matter what the season is. We know that God is love, and He who abides in love abides in God. No matter what, Jesus has us covered, for now and all eternity. Here is a verse that leads to some practical points for steadfastness in daily life: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58) Keeping His Word and admitting when we miss it. Walk in step with Holy Spirit. We are built to be His dwelling place, so welcome His presence continually. Continue steadfast in your faith - let nothing move you. The picture above is precious. It may show our puppy resting on the Word of God, but it can be you and me in that lovely picture. One day Jesus is coming back for us, and His feet will touch down in that beautiful place.
