Today's message is about glorifying God in all we do. That would be in our relationships, our work, ministry, in all that we do throughout any given day.
This picture was Denny & Me doing a seminar for our health insurance company. We were about to talk to 30 people to help them with their Medicare health plans. We love to add relationships to our group so we have people to help, not only with the natural needs like health insurance, but to tell them about the love of God through Jesus.
Look at this text....
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:17)
Today, as I read this, I just saw a reminder that we need to pay attention to the details of our everyday life. Even what we eat and drink. We just need to remember that we want to honor the Lord in all aspects of life.
The great news is that He loves to be honored, because He should. He deserves it, for all He has done for us. So as we look at our lives, let's ask God to show us how we can honor Him more. What a wonderful Father in heaven we have, and His love for us propels us to do ALL things to show His glory in our lives.
Look at this verse which makes it all possible...
...for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.(Philippians 2:13)
