Do you remember when you first came
to know and deeply love and appreciate Jesus? What an awesome
experience that is! And that "First Love" is to follow us
all the days of our lives until we finally meet Him in heaven.
Let's quickly review what God
Himself says about His love for us...
...that Christ may dwell in
your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded
in love, may be able to comprehend with all the
saints what is the width and length and depth and
height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that
you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians
3:17-19)
For I am persuaded
that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor
powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor
height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to
separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
Behold what manner
of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we
should be called children of God! (1 John 3:1)
The Lord has
appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you
with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I
have drawn you. (Jeremiah 31:3)
The message of the entire Bible is
Jesus! He is in every book and His message is the greatest love story
in all existence!
Greater love has no one
than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13) Spoken by the Master Himself. He is our
greatest Friend, and His love was on full display at the cross, and
ever since that day, we were bought, healed and sealed for the day of
redemption.
Lastly, no matter what we go through
in this life as far as trials, tribulations and all the other stuff
Jesus told us we would deal with, we can know this about His love and
Who He is...
Jesus
Christ is the same
yesterday, today, and forever.(Hebrews 13:8)
My friend, when things come to try to
bring condemnation or you hear the enemy trying to discourage you in
any way, remember that it is not the voice of the Father. HIs voice
will bring gentle and deep conviction and a whole lot of
encouragement, guidance and direction - never condemnation. What love
is this!
