More Than a Conqueror
Romans
8:37
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
My Experience, Strength & Hope
What does it really mean to be more than a conqueror? When I first wrote this, I had reached new goals for my weight. This is just one example, by the way. There are many goals we may set for ourselves. After a time of sickness and trial, I have learned I had to come back to this program of reaching for that mark again. Knowing that we had once achieved goals can help inspire us to do it again and again. We need to always allow the Word of God to guide and correct us.
We can not only achieve our goals, but we can surpass them and make the devil sorry he ever tried to mess with us. It’s kind of like the Israelites when they would go in and conquer an enemy. After that, they would come out with the booty. So, they not only conquered but came out with more than they ever had or expected.
When I originally designed this program I was going along well. I exceeded the goals I had for weight, and exceeded them. (Again, keep in mind that this is just one of my many goals!) Then came the trials and a time of deep suffering. Now, coming back to set new goals for victory, healthy eating and restarting exercise, it is time to aspire to new heights in my life. As I reconfigure this healthy plan for victory, I now get a chance to come back to the basics myself, finding that place of healthy balance when it comes to food.
We need to be mature, and act as wise adult children in the Lord. We should not be dealing with the same issues we did when we were immature Christians. To understand these things and apply them shows a sign maturity. This is well pleasing to the Lord. We need to keep our hearts tender, willing and obedient.
God wants us to work with what we know, and He will enlighten us on what we do not know. His goal is to continually help, lead and guide our steps. We want to be like those who came to the promised land and conquered. They overcame and got more than they could have asked or imagined.
The Lord wants us to conquer and take possession
of the Promised Land that He has for each of us. He told Joshua to go in and
take the land. He assured him that He would be with them. And Joshua along with
Caleb, full of faith, told the people in essence, “Come on folks, let’s go. We
are well able to possess the land. The Lord our God is with us. Be strong, come
on, be strong.” This is what we need to say. Some self-talk is good. Tell
yourself to “be strong! Come on, you can do it! You are well able with God’s
help.”
Do you want to know how you can stand on victory mountain and be called “more than a conqueror” in the kingdom of God? All we have to do is allow Holy Spirit and the Word of God to work in our lives. If we take the time and invest ourselves in the things that matter most – the Lord, His presence and His Word, we cannot help but get the victory and take possession of our promised land. It’s right there in front of us – often closer than we think. That is our answer. Seeking first His kingdom and His right ways of doing things.
The Lord wants us to live long and prosper in the land. He has given us authority over the devil through the victory won by His precious Son Jesus Christ. The enemy is already defeated. We just need to remove him from our pathway. Like moving a mountain.
God has
promised us that His power is perfect in our fleshy weakness. We talk a lot
about that in this program. So there we have it – the keys to victory; the keys
to the kingdom! Now it’s up to each one of us to go in and take it by force. We
have all the power of God living in us. And we have His Word. We have the name
of Jesus. His Blood is greater than anything in this life. We are armed and
ready for the battle. Nothing can stop us now. Victory is ours in Christ Jesus.
The enemy is defeated. Will we always have to deal with the enemy or our flesh?
Yes. But we have what it takes. And God is always able to deliver His people
out of temptation.
When we come against temptation, we refuse it, resist it and replace it with the Word of God. That will whip the devil every time. God is always able to provide a way out. We have to watch and pray. We will talk a lot about this in this program. If we will put them into practice, we will have the victory.
The question for us is this. Are we willing to do the work it takes to get there? If we work through this program, then we will have everything we need to be more than a conqueror through Jesus! We must see ourselves as winners, no matter what we have been through. We can leave addictions & distractions far behind. Allow God to be exalted in every fiber of our being. We must choose to walk the narrow path with Him. He will never let us down!
Scriptures from This Message…
Psalm 96:1-3

with the voice of triumph.

every place.

understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put
away childish things.

my path.

said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome
it.

righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
Acts 20:24
But none of these things move me, neither count I
my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the
ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the
grace of God.
Now Is the Time to Shout God’s
Praise for Giving You the Victory Through Our Lord Jesus Christ!
· After applying this program seriously, no one can be defeated.
· The Lord will put a new song in your heart and a hymn of praise as you continue to walk closely with Him.
· Remember that He will always be there to give you the grace you need to run your race and finish your course with joy.
·
Failure is never an option. We just
keep getting up and back in the race. In the end we will get the victory if we
do not faint and give up.
