“Multiplying God’s Word around the
Globe”
Chapter Reading
for Today: Please read in
your Bible before proceeding. Note that most translations are considered
paraphrases. The Young’s Literal Translation provides a more accurate
translation since he is the one who authored a concordance. Others are helpful
for seeing a different perspective, but we cannot always depend on their
wording. I hope this is helpful to you. If you are studying in another version,
that is fine. I am studying from the KJV, but for the purpose of this study, I
will keep it with the New King James Version.
One final note: I will put the scripture in italics to differentiate from my
own writing. I am adding red to the letters when
it is Jesus talking – just like the Bible. Thank you.
Bible Gateway Verse of the Day
Matthew 16:25
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but
whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
and into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless
His name.
Song: The Enemy Has Been Defeated By: Hillsong
I Give You Authority
In today’s final chapter
before the big turn of events, the Lord is presenting an even larger creature
to Job than the one we thought to be the biggest on Friday! It looks like the
behemoth pales in comparison to the leviathan. No man on the planet would dare
go near him. This sea creature is one that cannot be caught by the human hand.
Let’s pray…
Heavenly Father,
Thank You Sir for Your amazing
word that puts any man in his rightful place. Father, only You know how the
great and mighty things of this world were formed and how they function. You
know every intricate detail of them. Father, I ask You to show us in Your word
today as we look to You in faith what You would like us to see and receive in
our hearts. Lord I ask that Your message for today will go forth through me,
unhindered and unchecked by any outside force or my flesh. Lord, teach us what
it means to truly be in awe of You and show us how to appreciate the mighty
things about You. Father, I ask in faith that everyone who receives this lesson
will read and embrace it as Your word to each one of them personally. Father, we
give You thanks and praise for who You are and all that You do to sustain us
each and every day. In Jesus name. Amen!
We looked at the behemoth on
Friday. Today the Lord is stepping it up a great big notch. Talk about 20
questions! Who can answer these? Maybe the next time you hear someone say, “What
is this, 20 questions?” you will smile and remember where the “20 questions”
originally came from. The Lord asked Job 20 questions, which, like the other 60+
questions He had already asked, were completely unanswerable by him or any
other man that would ever live. Today’s chapter reveals a creature of the sea
so enormous and ferocious that no person would ever dare to approach him. There
is no weapon on the face of the planet that could ever slay him. With fire
breathing out of his mouth and waves of smoke billowing from his nostrils, who
could stand the fiery blast of his presence?
We can see in this second to
last chapter in the book of Job that the Lord is presenting Job with the
ultimate creature of power on the planet, whom He created, as a figure to be
reckoned with. There would never be anything that could take this beast out
(except his Creator). Any man that would ever have the misfortune of encountering
him would literally faint from the fear of it. This is maybe what has been portrayed
in the movies as the great big dragon breathing hot flames from his mouth
stomping around trying to kill everything in its path. He was a scary dragon. Does
that sound like another dragon we know of? Let’s look at the scriptures…
Revelation 12:1 -13:18
Now a
great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon
under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then
being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
3 And
another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven
heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His
tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the
dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child
as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who
was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God
and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the
wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her
there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
Satan Thrown Out of Heaven
7 And
war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the
dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not
prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So
the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan,
who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were
cast out with him.
10 Then
I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the
kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of
our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast
down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the
Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to
the death.12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who
dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil
has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short
time.”
The Woman Persecuted
13 Now
when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman
who gave birth to the male Child.14 But
the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the
wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a
time, from the presence of the serpent. 15 So the
serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he
might cause her to be carried away by the flood. 16 But
the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the
flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. 17 And
the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of
her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus
Christ.
Then I stood on the sand of the sea.
And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and
on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now
the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his
mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and
great authority.3 And I saw one of his heads as if it
had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world
marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they
worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the
beast, saying, “Who is like
the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
5 And
he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given
authority to continue for forty-two months. 6 Then
he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His
tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. 7 It was
granted to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was
given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation. 8 All
who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in
the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9 If
anyone has an ear, let him hear. 10 He who leads
into captivity shall go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be
killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
The Beast from the Earth
11 Then
I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a
lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises
all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and
those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was
healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even
makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And
he deceives those[e] who
dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of
the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast
who was wounded by the sword and lived.15 He was granted power to give breath to the
image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as
many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He
causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a
mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and
that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark of the name of the
beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here
is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for
it is the number of a man: His number is 666
Of course the
dragon in these verses is the devil. He was thrown out of heaven and a third of
the angels who joined in his way of thinking were sent with him. That’s why
hell was formed – it would be their eternal place of punishment. Hell was never
created for man to begin with – that place was for the devil. Unfortunately, it
wasn’t only the angels that rebelled – it has been a majority of mankind that has
also rebelled against God and sadly they too will have to join the devils and
his wicked host of demons there. It was never God’s plan.
These verses portray
a great big creepy and scary looking creature. To God it was nothing. Like the
leviathan, the dragon who was mentioned in Revelation – the devil, was no
challenge to God. When Lucifer rebelled against God and decided he was going to
be God himself, he was booted out of heaven with one flick of God’s finger. Now
he roams about the earth seeking whom he may devour…
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
The devil was there when Jesus
was about to be born, trying with all his might to stop the plan of redemption
God had from the very beginning or our creation. He attacked Mary and Joseph fiercely,
but to no avail. God had a plan and was way out in front of them…
Matthew 2:1-15
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of
Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying,
“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in
the East and have come to worship Him.”
3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all
Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all
the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he inquired of them where
the Christ was to be born.
5 So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for
thus it is written by the prophet:
6 ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”
7 Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise
men, determined from them what time the star appeared. 8 And
he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the young
Child, and when you have found Him, bring
back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also.”
9 When they heard the king, they departed; and
behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came
and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When
they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And
when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His
mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their
treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they
should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of
the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child
and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod
will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His
mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15 and was
there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by
the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
The devil is a supernatural
being and he sometimes knows things people don’t know. In the scripture above,
Herod is acting on behalf of the devil. He was an evil man and the devil had
full control of his thought life. He had given place to the devil by submitting
to the thoughts that satan had placed in his mind thereby becoming a vessel to
be used for the destruction of the baby Jesus. Ah but God! The Lord knows all
things at all times. He was way ahead of the wicked king. He had an angel tell Joseph
in the night to get up and scoot on down the road to Egypt for safety. They
were to remain there until such a time as they were told otherwise by the Lord.
Because Joseph was a man of
God and hearkened to the voice of the angel of God, he wisely got up and took
his family to safety. He wasted no time in responding to the prompting to get
out of harm’s way. There are many examples in the Bible where folks were warned
in order to keep them safe. Some listened while others stubbornly refused to be
‘told what to do’. Those that wouldn’t listen would have their lives cut short.Joseph and Mary stayed in
Egypt until after king Herod died. Look at what happened to a lot of innocent
people because the devil was so determined to kill Jesus…
Matthew 2:16-18
Then Herod, when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men, was
exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who
were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under,
according to the time which he had determined from the wise men. 17 Then
was fulfilled what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying:
18 “A voice was heard in Ramah,
Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted,
Because they are no more.”
Lamentation, weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, Refusing to be comforted,
Because they are no more.”
A great and bloody massacre happened that day
unparalleled to anything any of those precious folks had probably ever seen.
And it was all coming from satan himself who always brings death and
destruction…
John 10:10a
The thief does not come except
to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.
Anytime we see destruction, killing and people
getting hurt, it is not coming from God. Many people across the globe inadvertently
blame Him because they think since He is all powerful that He is the one
controlling everything going on in our world – that is a lie from the pit.
Nothing makes the devil happier than to bring destruction into the lives of
people and sit back and watch while they get angry at God and blame Him.
Because
of certain spiritual laws that are in effect, the Lord cannot stop certain
things from happening. When people disobey Him or are unwilling to cooperate
with God’s plan and His directions, they have become an open target for the
devil. But not Joseph and Mary. No, those two sweet
folks were obedient to the plan of God and as a result they were hidden away in
safety every time the devil tried to take a swing. Let’s continue…
Matthew 2:19-23
Now when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in
a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 saying, “Arise, take
the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who
sought the young Child’s life are dead.” 21 Then he
arose, took the young Child and His mother, and came into the land of Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning
over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being
warned by God in a dream, he turned aside into the region of Galilee. 23 And
he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which
was spoken by the prophets, “He shall be called a Nazarene.”
They ended up in Nazareth – right smack dab in
the middle of where God wanted them to be. Friends, this is such a big deal.
The dragon – satan, is on the earth to remain here until his appointed time
when he will be locked up for a thousand years and then let out for a short time
before his final doom. Until his appointed time, he will roam around the earth
and look for anyone who is willing to yield their minds and their lives to him.
And who would that be? Anybody who rebels against God. Some people might think,
“Ya, but that’s not me. I would never rebel against God!” Hmmm…Really? Think
again.
Let me give you one example in my life of how I
have rebelled against God – even as an “on fire for Jesus” Christian. When the
Lord told me not to eat something and I did, I rebelled against God. When He
told me to do something and I didn’t, I rebelled against God. And rebellion my
friends is from the devil.
Any time we refuse to obey God and do what He
has asked us to do, which is always our free choice, mind you, then we have
just given ourselves over to the wiles of the enemy. And at that time we become
an open target for him to attack. Now here’s the thing. You and I may look
around and see all kinds of people who seem to be doing quite well in life.
They have nice jobs, nice houses, cars, families and go on vacations all the
time and just live it up.
They play golf or enjoy hobbies and seem to be
free to go wherever they want to go when they want to. Why does it seem like
the enemy is not bothering them? I will tell you why. It is quite simple really.
First, let’s establish the fact that God wants everyone to prosper and have a
great life. Let’s get that straight from the very beginning. And if someone is
working hard and applying themselves and raising their kids up pretty well,
they are going to do well. God would not want to stop that – He longs for
people to do well.
Remember saints – always remember that we get
free will to choose anything we want to choose in this life. So if you are a
hard worker and you make a lot of money and have nice things then you are going
to have a pretty good life – for a season. But the reason that satan isn’t
attacking their every move is this – they don’t love God or honor Him in their
lives. They think they are doing quite well on their own and do not need ‘religion’
or God. Well God is not about religion, but when people talk about God they
call it ‘religion’. Satan is not interested in bothering people who are already
on their way to hell. They might have a good life now and if they take good
care of themselves many will live a long life.
There’s two parts to that. The first we already
discussed. They lived by their choices to work hard and take care of
themselves. The second is the bigger part – God is not willing that any should perish.
He waits for the opportune time to get their attention. He reveals Himself to
everyone so no man has an excuse. But if they do not respond by the time they
take their last breath, then they are headed to an eternity in hell. It breaks
God’s heart because He never designed them for that.
So who does satan – that nasty dragon roam
around to destroy anyway? Any person who has confessed Jesus as their Lord and
Savior, that’s who. He will do anything he can to steal from them their God
given calling and purpose on the planet. He will try to ruin their families,
their careers, their health – anything he can see as an opening into their
lives that will steer them off the path that the Lord had for them. He is like
the leviathan we read about in today’s chapter – breathing venomous flames from
his evil mouth with smoky nostrils billowing disaster everywhere he goes. Does
that sound scary to you? According to the Bible we should fear no evil. But we
should be watchful…
Matthew 26:41
“Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
This information should make all of us aware of
the dangers of giving place to the devil…
Ephesians 4:27
nor give place to
the devil.
When we “give place to the devil” it means we are opening
ourselves up to him by doing something against the will of the Lord. When we yield
to the thoughts and temptations he brings to our mind that are contrary to the
word of God, then we are headed for trouble. It opens a door for him to work in
our lives. Trust me on that- I know how the process goes. I fell prey to that
far too often. All of us can probably say, “been there, done that” at some
point, right?
So what do we do about this great big ‘dragon’ that wants to
try to ruin our lives anyway? How can we stay clear of his threats and the
trouble he can bring? Well saints, in reality the solution is easier than we
might think. But the problem with its simplicity is that most folks want to
make it far more complicated and seemingly unachievable than it is. Just this
weekend at church we were reminded of how to avoid the snares of the devil. I
will share the three things that we learned…
1. Submit to God
2. Submit to Holy Spirit
3. Submit to anyone who is in authority over you
By doing these things we are stepping away from being
rebellious to living a life that is fully surrendered to the Lord and His will.
In John 2 Jesus’ mother gave us the key to seeing miracles…
John 2:5
His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”
If we obey God than we are certain to reap the rewards that
go with that, including the Psalm 91 protection that many Christians quote but
seem clueless of how to obtain that level of protection. God cannot go against
the spiritual laws that are in place to help us when we deliberately place
ourselves in direct line with the workings of the enemy. The Lord does not like
to see all these people getting hurt down here on the earth. It hurts His
heart. He never wanted any of this.
But we have become a rebellious people. And He will not
control us and force us to behave ourselves. All He can do is lay down the
playing rules and once we have been made aware of how the ‘game of life’ is supposed
to be played, it’s up to us to play by the rules. If we don’t, like a football
player, we will get sidelined. It’s just that simple.
And God did not leave us helpless where the enemy is
concerned. There are ways that we can fight him. Let’s start first in the book
of Ephesians…
Ephesians 6:10-18
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of
His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that
you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For
we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against
powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the
heavenly places. 13 Therefore
take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil
day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with
truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and
having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above
all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the
helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;18 praying
always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this
end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
When we are saved we have on a suit of armor. We
have a tool kit fully loaded with the only type of weapons that we will ever need
in order to send that loser back to hell where he came from – the word of God.
If you have faith in God and His word you can hurl that at the enemy every time
he tries to put a negative thought or suggestion in your mind. It’s just that
simple. When he fires at us, we can fire right back. And we win!
In the chapter today the Lord is showing Job a ‘sea
monster’ that is unbeatable. It would be overwhelming for any man to face him
within a reachable distance. Natural defensive weapons would do a man no good
to come against the beast. It’s the same in the spirit realm when it comes to
fighting the devil. Using our own words and ideas or schemes will never work.
So who could take any authority over such a creature? Only God.
We couldn’t shoot him with a weapon and we sure
couldn’t catch him with a fishing line – LOL! But what if someone greater than
he had given you authority over him so that you could cause him to turn and run
with his tail between his legs whimpering like an injured pup? What if you had
been given exactly what you needed to take that monster down – would you use
it? Like the verses above would you send out the exact tool (word) to send your
great big monstrous enemy reeling? Of course you would! We all would use
whatever defense we had so that we would not be this fiery dragon’s dinner
appetizer, wouldn’t we? Well saints, God has given us the authority we need to
conquer every single enemy that tries to come against us. Let’s look at this…
Luke 10:19
“Behold, I give you
the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of
the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Right here the Master Himself is telling us that He has given us the authority
to trample on snakes and scorpions – meaning the devil. Most people like to be
in a position of authority – it makes them feel important. Well this is really
no different. Do you know why? You and I are very important to God. He knew
before all this began that we were going to have to deal with a wicked, though already
defeated foe – the devil, satan and all his host of demons that work under him,
each assigned to different territories, families and individuals.
When Jesus spent three years in ministry teaching His disciples, He was
making sure that they knew three things; one was that He was going away to
prepare a place for them (and us) and two, He was sending a Helper. Lastly, He
was giving them and us authority to trample all over the devil’s head.
Too many Christians today still look at the devil like he is the size of
the leviathan – big and scary. But if you really saw one of the demons in the
spirit you would see that they look like scared little monkeys, who will run
away whimpering at the sound of the name of Jesus Christ! Kenneth E. Hagin described
one of his visitations from Jesus Himself where the Lord spent an hour and a
half teaching him about taking authority over the devil.
The demon was interrupting Jesus as He spoke to Kenneth and it was
getting real irritating to Kenneth as he wondered why Jesus didn’t do something
about it. He was afraid of missing what the Lord was trying to say. Finally,
Kenneth couldn’t take it any longer and he told the demon to get out in the
name of Jesus. He turned and ran away whimpering. Glory to God. Can you imagine
how different our lives would be if we too would take that kind of authority
over the enemy every time he reared his ugly head?
Think about it. What parent would not take immediate authority over
their young child who was running out into a busy street? Or how about a police
officer? When he stands in the middle of road directing traffic, he is
exercising his government appointed authority. When people see him they obey –
they know it is the law. It’s the same principal with the kingdom dynamics
folks. There are certain laws in force. When we exercise our God given
authority over the enemy, we can live a life of freedom and abundance such as
we never imagined.
God didn’t leave us helpless when He created us. He knew we were going
to rebel. And He knew He would send Jesus to save us. He also knew that we
would need the right weapons and the right authority to fight the many battles
that we would face in life. He is a good God and is always helping us. He is a
good Daddy who wanted to be sure His children would be well equipped to deal
with life in a way that would net positive results every time.
When will we begin to realize this and start to use our authority? Every
moment we waste on petty whining and groaning about our issues only sets us
further backwards. But the minute we realize the armor that we wear as born
again Christians and the authority that goes with that armor, the sooner we can
walk in victory in every area of our lives. Think of yourself dressed in that
coat of the armor of God and then think of yourself as a king. That’s what you
are. You are strong and powerful in the Lord – just like the Ephesians verses
tell us.
But we have to believe it. Then we have to use it. My heartfelt hope is
that we will all start to leave old religious ideas far behind and start to
rise up to be the powerful and victorious church that Jesus suffered hard to
provide for us. Then and only then will we whip that great big leviathan and
move up the road to victory. Glory to God for providing everything we need
according to His riches in glory – hallelujah!

8:9
For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and
he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
There are three main points to consider from today’s study…
The enemy is not a big as he makes himself
out to be
Christians have been given a suit of armor
to fight the enemy with
Jesus gave us authority to trample on the
enemy in every situation
Let’s pray…
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for giving us every piece of equipment
we will ever need to fight the devil while we are in this world. Lord, with You
there is never any need to fear the evil one since he is already a defeated
foe. Father I ask You to show me where I need to improve exercising my authority
so that I can live in greater victory and bring You glory. Thank You in advance
for helping me fight to win in this life and for the hope of ruling and reigning
in the next. In Jesus name. Amen.
In
what ways have you been letting the enemy steal your victory lately?
And
God Said… You fill in the blanks.

Corinthians 14:20-28
But now
Christ is risen from the dead, and has
become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For
since by man came death,
by Man also came the
resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But
each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
24 Then comes the
end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all
rule and all authority and power.
25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
26 The last enemy that will
be destroyed is death. 27 For “He
has put all things under His feet.”
But when He
says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put
all things under Him is excepted.
28 Now
when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be
subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
