Great Peace

Isaiah 54:13 AMP

13 And all your [spiritual] children shall be disciples [taught by the Lord and obedient to His will], and great shall be the peace and undisturbed composure of your children.

NKJV

 And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord;
and great shall be the peace of thy children.

This has been a wonderful week for me. Just getting back from a spiritual trip to Branson, Mo.it has been an amazing time spent in the word and experiencing more of God’s blessings, miracles and divine appointments. This is going to be a very brief devotional today. I am still getting settled back in to my normal routine. I couldn’t let the day end without encouraging all of you who have been reading these blogs.

You have seen the struggles I put myself through where food and sugar addiction is concerned. But now I want you to see what peace looks like as I have bent my will to that of the Lord’s. The trip was highly successful as far as eating. The Lord helped me every step of the way. I had no regrets where food was concerned while I was away. I cannot tell you how good that peace feels when I knew I was doing what the Lord had asked of me.

The scripture noted above was a verse that I pulled from my memory card box today and I had no idea that I would be writing about it this evening. God is so awesome. When we are taught by the Lord we have peace when we do what He has taught us to do. For anyone who is out there still battling with the unseen, non-existent mountain of addiction, please allow me to encourage you.

Stay with the word of God. Keep professing it out loud over your life in faith every single day. It will work if you work it. After you have done the will of God, you will experience a peace that far surpasses the turmoil that we feel when we are spinning around in a circle of worthless bondage.

Trusting the Lord to give us the strength is key. He is faithful. When He asks us to do something, He will not leave us helpless. His word brings power into our lives. It really does work. Now that I am back home and settling in, I am comforted knowing that I had no regrets while I was gone for 8 days. It is a blessing to my heart to know that I pleased my heavenly Father. You can do the same thing.

Just remember to keep working the word. You will get the victory. And once you do, I would really enjoy hearing from you. Be encouraged as you make up your mind to serve Him with all your heart.
