A Review of God's Faithfulness

A Review of God's Faithfulness

This week I had the joy of sharing my testimony of how faithful God has been to me. I did a taping with our precious pastors, Gaspar and Michelle Anastasi of Word of Life Church and Breaking Free Counseling Center. The counseling I received from Breaking Free in a time of spiritual challenges was for me a real life saver!

God has used the Breaking Free Wellness Center to really encourage me at a time when I needed others to hold my hands up. Because of the help I received, I have been more equipped to reach out in our own ministry with Fish N Loaves to help, encourage and pray for others.

No matter where we are at in our walk with Jesus, many of us find that we need to "Break free" of something from the past, or even breakthrough some current challenges we may be facing. As I look at the verses God has brought to me this week, I see Jesus continuing to call us closer. He wants our affection, passion and sincere love. And He is turn always wants to make us feel better in that process. Look at this:

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Rev. 3:20

I see Him calling us to be imitators of Jesus:

Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. Eph. 5:1

The songs I listened to are calling us to sing out a prayer for God to purify us and gracefully break our human will to be molded to His perfect will for us. This is, of course, a lifelong process. He calls us to endure temptations and remember that we will receive our crown at the right time...

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

Also,

My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces [a]patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be [b]perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:1-4

There is a lot for us all to endure in these days and times. Yet, in all these things, the Bible reminds us that we are more than conquerors through Christ. Finally, I love this verse that brings great comfort in how the Lord comforts us...

For I [fully] satisfy the weary soul, and I replenish every languishing and sorrowful person.” Jer. 31:25 AMP

Now that's encouraging! My dear brothers and sisters, I have been saved and protected in the most miraculous ways! That's why I praise Him. He comforts me in every trying season. That's why I love Him. I love His presence and long for His direction so I may be used alongside my precious husband Denny to bring that same comfort and encouragement to many people across this nation and around the world. Jesus is my Lord and to Him we owe all the praise, even when it seems hard.

As you mediate on this this message, may you be encouraged and uplifted, eager to go out and help someone you may know or encounter who needs that same encouragement.

Faithful with Little, Trusted with Much

Faithful with Little,

Trusted with Much

Wheat field after harvest. Fertile land texture_ rural field landscape.

This week I was reminded of many things spiritually. I always teach from the heart because those are the things that really can touch someone else's heart. With God, it is all about the heart.

We think of all the things we want to do for the kingdom of God, and we wonder how we can make a bigger impact for people getting saved, healed and delivered. Last week we had the great privilege of meeting with a man of God from Uganda. He told us his life story and how Jesus had saved him and healed him. It is a story unlike anything most of us will ever hear! This man had been buried alive! Then he was poisoned by his own mother and nearly died.

When God reached down to him, he gave his life to Jesus and from that point on, he began to tell everyone in his village and surrounding villages about what God had done for him. He gave his life to the Lord for His use and glory to win many souls and make disciples, true followers of Jesus.

Now he is reaching beyond the many countries he has gone into with his teams of evangelists, and his ministry is expanding to countries all over the globe. So we sit here in America wondering how we can have an impact like that? My story is one of a very large magnitude also, and because of what God has done for me, I want to reach people all over the world. That is our purpose and passion for Denny and myself. Fish N Loaves Ministries was birthed out of a heart for that very purpose - to make fishers of men.

Most folks have never heard the dramatic things that God has rescued me from. It's a story that proves that God is very alive and still performing miracles today. Well, that said, how do we begin? It all starts where we are at. Sort of like the Fish and Loaves story. Take what God has given you currently, and believe for Him to multiply it. Then, as we wait for more opportunity, we praise Him and take that step of faith to reach out and work with what we have.

Denny and I started Fish N Loaves Ministries to be that couple who reaches people all over the globe. Then we started Stearns Benefit Service Specialists in the marketplace to help people with health insurance, and that as an ultimate way of reaching more people for the kingdom of God. A few days ago, the Lord reminded me to be faithful with what He asks us to do now in what seems like so little compared to some bigger ministry reaches, and He can add the more.

Just since we came to Ft. Myers in April of 2023, we have seen our work multiply and are touching people spiritually more than we ever have. My friend, this is not all as easy as it may sound. There is hard work, and it certainly comes with it's share of spiritual battles, but it is very worth it. Jesus, our Lord and Master is worth it.

He saved my life on multiple occasions, so I believe that I owe Him the life He saved and bought and paid for to use for His purpose and glory. Wherever you are at, you can start by taking that step of faith and ask the Lord for wisdom as you proceed. Then just keep doing what you are doing faithfully, and the more will be added. Stay with it. You will get there.

He also who had received two talents came and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; look, I have gained two more talents besides them.’ 23 His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Matthew 25:22-23

Encounters with Jesus

It's Everything

Encounters with Jesus

Nature_ river and woman with coffee to enjoy_ sunrise and outdoor with smile in vacation and morning. Break_ relax and girl with joy for inspiration in countryside of Finland with peace by lake

I'm hearing about the call of heaven and the heart of God that now more than ever, we, the Church, the body of Jesus Christ, must seek Him and have personal encounters with Him that change us and the way we see things in this life.

For the past few years, I have been pressing in to God in the deep desire to be close to Him. This past year that has gotten even better. What I have discovered is that the circumstances, the trials and the storms that come into our lives are intended to cause a deeper dependence on our Lord Jesus.

We see several examples in the Bible of people who sought the Lord and how powerful those encounters were. I have listed just one instance where a Samaritan woman going to fetch some water met her Messiah. Her life was so radically changed that she couldn't help but to go tell everyone what she had experienced.

We all have a high calling on our lives, and each one is uniquely different. What we need is that fellowship with Jesus and the guidance of Holy Spirit each and every day! His love is so precious for us, and this is the time more than ever to be close. With everything going on in the world, our need for our God and Father in heaven is great!

As we look at the soon return of Jesus, will we press in to be close to Him and get refilled with Holy Spirit every day? Will we make Him a priority all day every day and not the things of this world?

Today I was reminded of the encounter I first had with Him as I heard a lady talk about her "Woman at the well" experience. I remember what it was like when Jesus first captured my heart and the strong love that began to grow between us. Oh friend, what a moment each day as He touches our heart to the point of great tears of gratitude, day in and day out.

The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” John 4:25-26

When was the moment that He really touched you? Is your love and appreciation for Him still strong and growing stronger? Let's let our passion for our treasured Jewel, out First Love burn brighter than ever before. Let's be spiritually alert to call on the One Who alone can provide all the love, fellowship and everything else that we will ever need! Praise Him for His grace and mercy!

A Thorn In The Flesh!

His Power is Perfect!

Person reading book praying with Bible

A Thorn in The Flesh!

Think about our dear brother Paul who had an irritating demon bothering him everywhere he went! Wow, that must have been difficult to deal with, right? Also think about Job. Satan came to bother him, and the Lord allowed that, but He didn't let him completely destroy him. God put a limit on what Satan could do. In all that trial it caused a greater dependence on God. Job continued to praise the Lord and so did Paul. He had a thorn in his flesh, and he still praised the Lord and went about doing the Lord's work. Was it hard? You betcha!

No matter what the enemy has brought against us and for whatever reason we can say thank you Father for your grace! We can choose to praise God before our breakthrough. In fact, that's the song I woke up with this morning. It's called "Praise before my breakthrough." It's a wonderful song you might want to listen to. We can trust in and rely on God's grace through the trial.

Look at the Amplified Bible talking about the thorn, (1 Corinthians 12:7-9) it says "because of the surpassing greatness and extraordinary nature of the revelations which I received from God for this reason to keep me from thinking of myself as important, a thorn in the flesh was given to me a messenger of Satan to torment and harass me to keep me from exalting myself. Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me, but he has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you and my loving kindness, and my mercy are more than enough, always available regardless of the situation, for my power is being perfected, and is completed and shows itself most effectively in your weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weakness, so that the power of Christ may completely enfold me and may dwell in me.

Praise the Lord! We think about a thorn as a harassing spirit from the enemy. Now job had sickness come on him and many of us have had different kinds of trials come in that way. The enemy does seek to come and harass, and he seeks to bring discouragement, and he seeks to try to get us disappointed and frustrated and angry. But we aren't going to do that because we know that we know that in all these things God makes us more than conquerors!

Philippians 2:6 reminds us that God began a good work in us, and He will bring it to completion in the day of Christ Jesus. He will work in that situation and through it, and He will finish it all the way up to when Jesus comes back for us. That's when our sanctification process will be completely done and not until then. We can praise the Lord because we go further with this and realize that in 1 Corinthians 15:57 we are reminded that we can say "thanks be to God who always gives us the victory. Another verse talks about how He always causes us to triumph.

Friend, I know what it's like to have a thorn in the flesh and it is not pleasant! I've had one since 2019 and it's only by His grace that I'm alive to tell about it today. And I'm so thankful for what he has done for me that I have got to tell the world all about Jesus. His love is everlasting. His grace is sufficient. Yes, his mercy is new every morning. No matter what we're facing we can know this, that no matter what trial, what thorn we might be dealing with, God is there with us! He's with us in the heights, He's with us in the depths.

He's on the mountain and He's in the valley! He is everywhere present. He never leaves us, nor does he forsake us! Oh, He has got me preaching from the rooftop this morning! The blog is late coming out this week, but this morning I realized after my time with Jesus that it wasn't ready yet.

My friend, be encouraged today that all we do when the thorn in the flesh just irritates and bothers us is keep on praising and thanking our God! He is faithful. He will bring us through it. He will encourage us, and he will deliver us. Thank Him in it knowing that it was never Him that caused the problem to begin with. It's usually the flesh or the devil and we praise God that he gives us the victory in all these things because that's the benefit of our salvation. Be blessed today and in the days to come with your victory in Jesus' Name.

Listen to the song, "Yesterday, today and Forever. Spot on for this topic. God bless you!
