This past Saturday was Valentine’s Day and my second to Jesus sweetheart, my beloved husband Denny and I went for a drive to Naples to look for things for our new home. We met many people along the way, and as always, we were determined to take the love of God to the streets, into the marketplace. The big drawing card that most people see in the natural is our puppy Jesse. He has a special gift that brings joy to people everywhere.
In one place, I came across a lady who is turning 65, so I offered to be of service to her for her Medicare plans. As we spoke, she said she was agnostic and tells her friend to pray for her all the time. Well, as we left, I joined in agreement with her friend asking that the Father would reveal Jesus to her.
Next, stopped at a convenience store for some gas and a snack. I offered one of my books to the young man at the cash register. There was no one there, but he declined. I simply told him that Jesus loves him and proceeded to pray for him when we left the store. While there, I started a conversation with a sweet young lady, and when I offered her one of my books, she was so excited, she lit right up!
This was God’s love reaching out to souls everywhere we went. He wants them saved and healed. Lastly, as I stood in line for coffee, an 80 year old man approached the area where I was waiting and started a conversation. When I heard how old he is I told Him God promised to give us long life. Then the devil in him took over and he tried to get into a debate with me. I just stood there and listened to him. Finally, I just looked at him and said, “Do you want to know what I think?” He said, “Sure.” I said, “I think it’s better to know and love Jesus that to debate about all those other things.” He didn’t want that, and I just left the store praying for all of them.
We may wonder why an encounter like had to happen after so many positive things had happened prior to that moment, but God, in His great love for all mankind wanted someone to pray for that man and His family. No case it too hard for the Lord, but someone has to ask. Who knows if anyone has ever prayed for him and his family. I was willing to be that one.
The bottom line to this message, as I study the love and healing of the Lord throughout the Word, is that God has placed a very specific call on each of our lives. There isn't one person ever born who does not have a special design from God on their life.
Friend, if you haven't been stepping up to the plate on what the Lord wants you to do, there is no time like now to repent and get with the program! If you feel like you haven't been doing your job to advance the kingdom of heaven, it's time to repent. Seek the Lord's forgiveness and begin afresh and walk in His mercy and grace to do what you were created to do. . We would love to hear from you on how you are doing and pray for you.
