“Multiplying God’s Word Around The Globe”

Chapter Reading for Today: Please read in your Bible before proceeding. Note that most translations are considered paraphrases. The Young’s Literal Translation provides a more accurate translation since he is the one who authored a concordance. Others are helpful for seeing a different perspective, but we cannot always depend on their wording. I hope this is helpful to you. If you are studying in another version, that is fine. I am studying from the KJV, but for the purpose of this study, I will keep it with the New King James Version.

One final note: I will put the scripture in italics to differentiate from my own writing. I am adding red to the letters when it is Jesus talking – just like the Bible. Thank you.

Bible Gateway Verse of the Day

Psalm 143:10
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Psalm 100:4
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
and into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

Psalm 52
The Joy of The Redeemed
There is a group on the earth who do not make God their stronghold. They plan wicked things. They use people as a ladder to step up to what they think is success. Their words are as cutting as razor blades. They are full of schemes, deceit and lies. This is the group on the earth whose end is destruction. Ah, but there’s another group – the redeemed of the Lord – hallelujah! They live to ever praise God on His throne. Glory to His name. Let’s pray…
Heavenly Father:
Thank You for being a righteous Judge in all the earth. Lord, there are so many evil people who plot wicked things against the innocent. We are so grateful that You will deal with every fowl behavior and come to the aid of Your people. Father, I ask You to speak through me in this message. Give me the utterance and the anointing to bring revelation to Your children. Make this message reach people all over the world, of every nation and every tribe. Cause it to go unhindered and unchecked by any outside force or my flesh. Thank You for always watching over Your word to perform it in our lives when we trust in You. We purpose to be doers of Your word and not forgetful hearers. Thank You in advance for changing us to be more like our Master – Jesus who sits on the throne. To You be all the glory, honor and praise forever and ever in Jesus name. Amen.
Over and over again we see how the Lord will step in and deal with the proud, the boasters, the plotters, and the liars. Their end will be certain destruction. Just this weekend at church we were talking about how nice it will be to one day be in heaven and have nobody next to us who is evil in any way. Won’t that be glorious saints? The only ones who will be gathered around the throne will be those like the green olive tree, aka – Israel, God’s people. When the enemy has been cast down, we who are with the Lord will be rejoicing and praising Him like never before.

Let’s go to a scene in the book of Revelation. It will bless your heart and mine to peer into our glorious future. This lesson will be short tonight. I am on a special assignment this week, so I will keep this brief. What the Lord has done for us in the chapter in Revelation that we are about to look at is to give us something to grab onto as we fight the good fight of faith in this life. There will be many battles to be fought and won for the good Christian soldiers on the earth. But the day will come when the fighting is all over, and we will stand in awe at the throne of the Lamb of God. Let’s look…

Revelation 7:9-17
The Great Multitude in White Robes
After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying:
“Amen!
Praise and glory
and wisdom and thanks and honor
and power and strength
be to our God for ever and ever.
Amen!”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?”
14 I answered, “Sir, you know.”
And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore,
“they are before the throne of God
    and serve him day and night in his temple;
and he who sits on the throne
will shelter them with his presence.
16 ‘Never again will they hunger;
    never again will they thirst.
The sun will not beat down on them,’
    nor any scorching heat.
17 For the Lamb at the center of the throne
    will be their shepherd;
‘he will lead them to springs of living water.’
‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’”

Even though we are given a glimpse into this scene that will play out in the future, we cannot even begin to grasp the wonder and awe of what this worship and praise session will be like! Glory to God and to the Lamb who sits on the throne forever – amen!

We who trust in the Lord will be praising Him for removing the enemy permanently from our midst – hallelujah! There will be a lot of shouting and praising going on and there will be no wolves among the sheep then. We will see what the Lord does to that old dragon, satan, the devil, and it will be the end of him forever! Then the Lord will wipe away our tears. No longer will we hunger or thirst spiritually. We will be perfected and continuing to grow and be enlightened.

The Lamb will be our Shepherd. Isn’t it great to be able to see the end of the book and know that it is a joyous ending? The Lord wants us here and working at our assigned posts for now. But we will be out of here in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, and there will be no more sorrow, pain, sickness, death, or anything else that is negative in any way.

Friends, this should help us to stay in the fight while we are here. We are not to spend our time here whining about how hard it is. Instead, we are to walk in the joy of the Lord as our strength and fight the good fight until He returns or we go home. The end is so near and there are lives that need to be saved. Let’s stay in the fight and pray and run our race with endurance. It won’t be long and we will be with the Lord and praising Him in awesome wonder.

Questions:

What will happen to those who trust in riches and practice deceit?

What does Psalm 52 say that we will be like?

What does that mean to you personally?

What about Revelation 7 gives you the most encouragement?

Who can you share this information with?

There are three main points to consider from today’s study…

God will deal with the wicked
The righteous will see the reward of the evil doers
One day every tear will be wiped from our eyes

                        Let’s pray…

Heavenly Father:

Thank You for the glorious inheritance we have waiting for us. Thank You for giving Your children a glimpse into the future so we know that we do have a hope and a future that will never disappoint. Help me to see the importance of what You have for me to do while I am here. Show me who I can help. Show me who I can lead to You as I work to follow the great commission of Jesus. I ask and I believe I receive it in Jesus name. Amen.

Are you making the most of the time you have on the earth?

And God Said… You fill in the blanks.

Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
