A Deeper Revelation of God's Love

A Deeper Revelation of God's Love

What the world needs now is a REAL REVELATION of God's unconditional love. Even those of us who have been born again for a long time may need a deeper revelation of God's awesome love for us. Here's a look at how I broke down the verses from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 about what God says about love...

God, our God, is very longsuffering, meaning He is endlessly merciful to us rather than being easily angered. He is patient and abundant in His mercy and goodness.

God isn't envious of anyone - nor should we be.

God doesn't parade Himself in a haughty way before us, yet Who He is compels us to worship and adore Him.

God isn't prideful, nor could He be. He just is Who He is - the Great I am. We cannot do things our own way but submit to His leading.

Our God is not rude. People can be that way, acting unkindly and inconsiderate towards others and their feelings, but not God. No! He is thoughtful of our feelings inasmuch as He will never do anything to us, His children that would hurt our spirit.

Father God doesn't look to speak what's good only for Him, but what's best for all people. That's why He went to the cross.

God does not get irritated or angered easily. The way He is describes perfect love in every area of life.

God does not and cannot think any evil thoughts because there is no darkness in Him nor shadow of turning.

God isn't happy with sin at all but delights in truth in the inward parts. God can handle all situations, He is resilient. After all He created us and everything else that exists.

God believes all things - perfect faith. His faith works by His love.

God hopes all things and is always hoping for the good and the best in every situation that exists.

God endures in every situation without giving up.

His all encompassing, everlasting love in all it's fullness will never, ever fail.

Here is what I saw in the Word of God this morning that jumped out at me...

“The Lord your God is in your midst,
A Warrior who saves.
He will rejoice over you with joy;
He will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins],
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. (Zephaniah 3:17)

The Lord is saying that when we receive a deeper revelation of this awesome love that He has for us, it will be easier for us to get closer to Him. He is love in all its fullness, and loves us so much that He just wants fellowship with us. Let that touch your heart deeply in this season of your life.

Our prayer to day is that the Lord our God will help us all get a deeper revelation of His deep, unconditional love. The closer to Him we get, the more of Him He delights to reveal to us so we can live our very best life.

Let us know how we can pray for you this week.
