Family, Forgiveness & Freedom

 Family, Forgiveness & Freedom

”And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.“ ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭32‬ ‭NKJV

It’s Christmas time once again, and most of us have family that we may need to spend time with throughout the season. For some, it’s a joyous time and we have strong family relationships that we cherish and delight to spend time with them.

If that’s you, thank God for that blessing! There’s many others who have family relationships that are strained at best. We didn’t get to pick our family - that was God’s job.

However, we can choose how we treat them. That’s always our job. So many people have been hurt, and have hurt themselves or others. The results can bring estrangement and a lot of pain. One thing I have learned in my life’s experiences is that as a daughter, wife and mother, I never wanted to be hurt, nor did I ever want to hurt anyone.

As we experience traumatic things that have hurt us in our families, we must first stop and realize that each one has their own hurts and ideas of how to handle them. I hear so many people say they dread getting together with their own family because of past hurts.

How sad that truly is! God’s plan for family is to love each other unconditionally like He loves us. When there has been hurtful things happen, as Christians, we must be willing to forgive and leave it in the past where it belongs.

Then we must patiently work together to rebuild the “ancient ruins”. Many may choose to hold grudges for years, refusing to let go of the bitterness and pain. But in so doing, we are choosing to take a daily dose of poison and hope the other person is doing all the suffering.

It’s sad that we choose to punish people for their mistakes and hold a grudge, especially when we celebrate the true reason for Christmas which is Jesus, the greatest forgiver of all times! This Christmas, if you have a family member that you need to forgive, you can choose to make an effort to emulate Jesus, to forgive and forget and learn to love again! ❤️‍🩹

Love always wins over bitterness and anger! It always triumphs and soothes a hurting heart. As a born again Christian, I pray that this Christmas we will boldly stand for Jesus, and yet humbly follow His pattern of love and forgive those whom we need to forgive. His love never fails and we want to live out that agape kind of love that doesn’t put conditions on our love.

We love because He loves us! This Christmas, instead of choosing the bondage that bitterness and unforgiveness brings, I pray that we will all choose the freedom that true, godly forgiveness brings. I pray we can act like the One Who designed the family, and reflect His image to a hurting world.
Only the Lord knows what a difference it can make in how we feel this Christmas. Today the Lord helped me see that I can not only walk in love and forgiveness toward any family members who have hurt me, but I can be free to be the me He created me to be as I stand with Him through it all!

May you and your family be so blessed with these loving attributes of God this Christmas - the gifts that keep right on giving all year long!

Jesus is Calling

 Sunday Message Dec 3

 “Jesus Calling”
“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭16‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It’s the time of year when people are out shopping and preparing for parties and the coming celebration on Christmas day. As a Christian, we are to be ever sensitive to the command Jesus gave us in Mark 16 telling us to go into all the world to preach the gospel.

What does that mean if we don’t believe we are called to travel the world? Well, let me tell you about an experience I had with a young man who served lunch to my husband and I earlier this week.

We had just come from an appointment where we enrolled a lovely lady in a Medicare plan for next year. She had expressed a need for prayer over some things that had been troubling her. We were thrilled that Holy Spirit would use us to pray with and for her. We had a lovely time with her. We left feeling so blessed to be used to help her.

We decided to go to lunch and ended up at an unplanned restaurant. A very nice young man came to serve us. He was probably early twenties at best and was very personable and friendly. I looked at him and said, “You’re so nice you must know Jesus!” He replied, “I know about Him.”

Then I asked him if he wanted to know more. He smiled and told me that a lot of people have been talking to him about Jesus lately. I asked him, “Do you know why that’s happening?” He said, “no, why?”

Then I explained that the Lord is drawing him. I told him about many others who I have spoken to where that was happening. After talking a few more moments, we placed our order and had our meal.

When we were leaving, I gave the waiter our ministry business card. The next thing I knew, Holy Spirit was all over me as I began to explain the times we are living in and how important it is for a revival in the church and for people to hear the gospel.

I told him that God wanted to use him to go preach the gospel in all the world and how right there where he is at is his world. It’s where he would be used. I explained about heaven and hell and how Jesus told us about the days we are living in.

The young man was captivated and said he would check it out! He seemed very excited and interested. I got in the car and we drove to yet another wonderful appointment while we marveled at what God had just done! It was another “Annabel” moment. I wrote about her in an earlier blog.

How about you? Are you looking for those opportunities to preach the gospel to a revival ready world? Please remember that there will be some who won’t want to hear it, but for those who are out there with their spiritual hearts ready to receive, we must be there ready to open our hearts and mouths to be used!

I was so excited to share this experience with you all today! There are now about 100 people getting this blog, not including the one’s on our official blog site who are reading it around the world! My friends, God is on the move in a big way calling many into His kingdom!

Will you be a vessel He can use? If so, get busy because Jesus is calling and He’s coming back soon! Church get ready!

I pray the Lord will lead you and make your tongue the pen of a ready writer now and in the days to come.

Steadfast Devotion

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭58‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with the remembrance of all that God has done over the past year. As we enter into the season of Christmas, I was reminded this morning that the first thing we need to maintain through it all is steadfast devotion to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

May our passion burn brighter for Him and the fire in our soul be obvious to those around us as a result of all our Beloved Savior has done for us. How amazing that He came as a Lamb for us to die and save us from destruction so we could have a daily encounter with His precious Spirit!

He tells us to be steadfast and immovable always abounding in His work - the work of the Kingdom of God. This will mean keeping Him always in front of us as our First and most important love. ❤️ After that, it’s about doing the work He called us to do and be diligent about it! Nothing can compare to the work He calls us into.

May we go into this coming week with our minds fixed on Jesus and doing the work He has called us to do with a renewed passion so others can really see that something is different about us! Let the Jesus in you this week and in the time to come be seen by everyone you encounter so they too will want to join in the great work we are called to do in these times!

Thanksgiving- What’s it really all about?

 Sunday Message Nov 19

Thanksgiving-What’s it really all about?

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭105‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It’s that time of year once again. The autumn season has come, and the weather is just a bit cooler. People are making great plans for family and friends to gather.

Robust dinner plans are in the making and it’s busy, busy, busy as we go to and fro, adding our holiday preparations to our already overloaded schedules.

This morning in my time with the Lord I was reminded to keep the main thing the main thing. What is that you ask? It’s taking the time to be thankful to God for all He has done for us all year long.

The original Thanksgiving was all about that. Yes, they made a meal to celebrate. The ones who survived that first season were more than grateful to God for sustaining them through all the difficulties they had to face.

There were many who risked their lives to come to a land where they could be spiritually free and worship the one true God! For the few who actually made it, we can be sure they knew why they were celebrating!

God had brought them through and honored their plight to come to a place where He would be thanked and welcomed as the Head at their table and keeper of their lives.

Many of us have had challenges and trials of one sort or another since the last time we gathered to give Him thanks. There’s one thing I have learned about that. No matter the pain, difficulties or trials, He is still passionately in love with us, His people.

We are still here and He is still healing, comforting and providing. God goes before us each day and helps us keep on going in good times and in bad.

This year, I pray that we will all take the time to stop and really remember the true purpose for this holiday. I pray we will be grateful no matter what and be passionate about our adoration of Who Jesus is and all He has saved us from!

May we continue to pray for all those we know who needs it, including Israel and the Ukraine. Let’s continue to be thankful as His children every day, and keep praying for a mighty revival among all the nations, so we will see the highway of people going to Jerusalem to praise the Lord!

May your Thanksgiving be so blessed and invite someone who doesn’t have anyone to share the day with!

Please feel free to share this with family and friends and give them my number.

We love you all in Jesus! ✝️❤️🙏🏻

Love Comfort Rest

 Love, Comfort & Rest

“And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.” ‭‭

Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬

‭NKJV‬‬ In this last week we had many opportunities to meet with people and pray for them as we helped folks with their Medicare health insurance. There was a lot of pouring ourselves out, so between figuring out people’s prescriptions, doctors and what plan is best, beside the greater part of praying, Sunday comes leaving us feeling a bit drained and in need of God’s love, comfort and rest.

At church today, that was coming through from the Lord to just come to Him and rest. He said He loves us so much. I was reminded this morning in the Word that He is the God of all comfort. That’s just the thing that we need from the only one who can give it the way we need it the most!

Perhaps you have had a very busy week like most of us and just need to stop and take a break and breathe in Jesus’ love, compassion and rest today.

As we go through this week, my prayer is that we continue to receive His love, strength, emotional and spiritual rest along with His wonderful guidance everywhere He leads us.

If you would like others to receive these weekly blogs, feel free to give them my number. I love you all dearly and thank God for each one of you! ✝️🙏🏻😘

You Never Know Who You Can Help

 Sunday Message Nov 5

“You Never Know Who You Can Help” ““The Lord God has given Me The tongue of the learned, That I should know how to speak A word in season to him who is weary. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear To hear as the learned.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭50‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It has been another very busy week helping people with their insurance. Tis the season. We also had many opportunities to pray with and for people, everywhere we went carrying God’s presence to people who were weary for one reason or another.

I went in to order a sandwich at one place, and a sweet young gal came up to help me. She was very young and pretty, yet she looked tired and weary. All I did was ask if she was ok and she confirmed she was tired. I agreed that she certainly looked tired. Next, I asked her if she knew Jesus and she said yes. She told me she used to go to church but hasn’t for a long time. I told her that Jesus loves her very much and wants her to come back to Him. First one tear trickled out, and then her sweet face became flooded with tears. At that point I reassured her that He would comfort her and she thanked me.

Later in the week I certainly needed some reassurance myself. I went to pick up a smoothie for us and I was nudged by Holy Spirit to tell the young lady serving me that Jesus loved her. She smiled and looked me right in the eye and said, “He loves you too.” That touched me so deeply.

I see it again and again how He uses us to touch so many people, always wanting us to come closer to Him. Let’s think about that this week. Spending time loving Him first, and then allowing Him to use us to touch others. Many times it’s such a simple comment that can touch someone in the deepest place!

May you have a blessed week. Feel free to share my number with anyone who might like to receive these blogs! God bless you ✝️🙏🏻🥰😘

Deep Love, Passion and Faith

 Sunday Message Oct 29

Deep Love, Passion & Faith

Song: Resurrender

“And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭12‬:‭30‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This week’s message comes as a strong reminder to us all that Jesus is looking at our hearts, longing to see our love for Him expressed in our daily actions.

He is looking at our passion level. He looks at the faith we have in our hearts to follow after Him, whether we are in a mountain top season or the valley.

We heard a lot today in the two services at our church and it is a powerful reminder to keep our hearts with all diligence like the Bible says. We want good things to flow from our hearts and mouths!

We need to remember to watch what we speak over our lives and circumstances so we don’t give the devil anything to work with.

We can remember the awesome things God has spoken over us personally and in His Word and trust Him to carry it out! He is faithful.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We are speaking spirits created in His image, so all that we believe and say matters a lot!

I pray that we will all live a humble repentant life before our God and that no matter how it looks or what life may try to throw at us, we will stand in deep love, passion and faith and walk humbly each day with our God.

He doesn’t do it all for us, but He will walk with us and give us the strength to do what we need to do. Let’s stand on His Word!

Love, prayers and blessings to you today and always in Jesus powerful Name!
