If you
have ever been to the top of a mountain, you know how exhilarating it
can be! Conversely, if you have ever walked through a valley in the
mountains, and you look around at all those towering hills around
you, it can seem a bit overwhelming.
The same
is true on a spiritual level. It is so lovely to be on the mountain
with Jesus. What a wonderful place it is - when it feels like one is
living in heaven right here on earth and all seems to be well. No
wonder Peter wanted to build a place for them to stay when they were
on the mountain with Jesus and saw Him transformed. Those times are
both necessary and have a place in and throughout our lives.
When we
walk through a valley experience, it can be difficult to say the
least, and as Jesus promised,
"In
this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world." John 16:33
Peter is
a wonderful example in this message. He saw the best of times with
Jesus, and he had the experience of the trials and tribulations as he
laid his life down to preach the gospel to a hurting world.
Whatever
you may be going through right now in this season, know this. God our
Father in heaven who is filled with love for us beyond our
comprehension, is right here with each of us to hold us up and keep
us moving forward.
Now to
Him Who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you
faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God
our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and
power, both now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 24-25
We want
to encourage you dear friend to remember that God is for us and no
weapon formed against us will prosper, and we are the children of the
Most High God. He always causes us to triumph in every situation.
